About the first four episodes of Dragonball Z have to do with the arrival of Goku's brother, Raditz. Goku, who has grown up on the earth his whole life, is unaware of his alien heritage. Raditz informs a much-surprised Goku, that he is part of a warrior race known as Saiyans. The Saiyans use their extraordinary powers to take over planets and then sell them to the highest bidder. When Goku refuses to join his brother, Raditz becomes impatient and kidnaps Gohan (Goku's young son). Goku tries to stop him put Raditz knock the wind out of him and takes off with Gohan. Things look bad, since Goku is the Earth's strongest fighter.

Despite the bleak outlook, Goku decides to fight Raditz. Just before he takes off, Piccolo arrives. Piccolo is from the planet Namek, but has been Goku's rival for some time now. Putting aside their differences, Piccolo and Goku join forces to eliminate the bigger threat - Raditz. Goku and Piccolo are very equal in power, and together they form the world's strongest team.

Despite their pooled efforts, Piccolo and Goku find Raditz to be stronger. It could all be over... but wait... Gohan reveals his true power! The four-year-old boy attacks Raditz upon seeing his father suffering. The blow weakens Raditz enough to allow Goku to hold Raditz, while Piccolo charges up a special attack. The attack kills Raditz, but takes Goku down also.

Raditz lies dying on the ground, as Piccolo informs him of earth's Dragonballs. He tells Raditz that Goku's friends will certainly gather all seven balls and summon the Eternal Dragon. Their wish, granted by the Eternal Dragon, will resurrect Goku. Raditz informs Piccolo that his device he uses to sense powerlevels is also a transmitter. The other Saiyans heard everything Piccolo just said. Raditz tells them that they have one year before the other Saiyans arrive... and the others are much stronger... Shocked, Piccolo finishes Raditz off and then joins Goku's friends, who have just arrived and are gathered around their fallen comrade. Goku tells them to take care of Gohan, and that he'll be back. Then Goku dies...

However, the earth's protector Kami, having heard about the coming of the Saiyans, takes Goku to King Yama. King Yama decides what happens to everyone that dies.

Kami tells King Yama of the earth's predicament, and asks him to allow Goku to travel the dangerous Snake Way and seek the training of the legendary King Kai. This roughly marks the end of the first four episodes of Dragonball Z.

The next 11 or so episodes encompass Goku's journey to King Kai's, The other Z fighters (Goku's friends) training for the arrival of the Saiyans, and Gohan's special training with Piccolo. The Z team includes: Krillin, who is a short monk who became Goku's best friend in Dragonball; Tien, the 3-eyed man who is another close friend of Goku's which he met in the original Dragonball series; Chaozu the short pale skinned friend of Tien; and of course Yamcha, who used to be Bulma's boyfriend. They have one year to prepare for the arrival of the Saiyans. They train at Kami's lookout, and at one point are taken on a mental combat simulation (sort of virtual reality). It is here that the four Z-fighters square off against two Saiyans. The Saiyans crush the Z-fighters in the simulation. Kami thought that it would be good to show the Z-fighters the startling reality of the Saiyan's strength. When the exercise is finished, the Z-fighters are informed that the Saiyans approaching earth are twice as strong as those in the simulation. The Z-fighters vow to train vigorously for the inevitable arrival of these super-powerful beings.

As the Z-fighters train up on Kami's lookout, Piccolo trains Gohan. He must turn Gohan from a crying four year-old boy to a warrior, and he only has one year to do it. After seeing Gohan's true power in the fight with Raditz, Piccolo feels Gohan will be a big asset when the other Saiyans arrive. Gohan must endure wilderness survival training and sparing with Piccolo, as he matures a great deal. Piccolo and Gohan eventually grow quite fond of each other, as a sort of teacher-student bond forms between them. During this period Gohan is also subjected to the moonlight, which triggers the transformation into a "Were-monkey." Piccolo must destroy the moon in order to save the planet!

While all this is going on, Goku must use caution as he travels down the ten thousand mile "Snake Road" (Snake Way). Along the way he must find an escape from the "Home for Infinite Losers" (basically Hell) and fight off the temptations of the Snake Princess. Eventually he makes it to King Kai's, who is a rather odd fellow. King Kai's first task for Goku is to catch Bubbles, his pet monkey. Not an easy task, as the gravity on King Kai's planet is ten times that of earth's.

It takes Goku three weeks to finally catch Bubbles. His next task is to use an extremely heavy mallet, and try and hit King Kai's other companion, Gregory (who happens to be a cricket). Finally, King Kai teaches Goku the art of Kaioken, as well as how to form a "Spirit Bomb." Time is running out however...

Finally, the Saiyans arrive... Nappa the larger bald one and Vegita the smaller Saiyan, who plays a major role in DBZ from here on out. I won't go into too much detail on the fight. They demand to know where the Dragonballs are.. but earth's special forces showed up to fight not to give in to their demands.. and so the battle begins.

So where was I... Oh yeah! The earth is safe thanks to Goku and the rest of the Z-team. Unfortunately, most of the team died in the battle with the Saiyans. There's a catch to it also. Normally, the earth's Dragonballs could be gathered to wish them back to life, right? Here's a little DBZ history. Piccolo's father and Kami used to be one being. When they split, the evil side of Kami became Piccolo's father (Piccolo-Daimaou). Daimaou has since died, but not before he had an offspring, Piccolo. Piccolo and Kami are still related so that when Piccolo died in the battle with the Saiyans, Kami died with him. Oh! I almost forgot... The Dragonballs disappear when Kami dies, seeing as he created them. On the bright side, the team learns that other Dragonballs exist on Namek (Piccolo's homeworld).

ONWARD TO NAMEK! But how?

When Nappa's spacepod gets destroyed, Mr. Popo shows Bulma how to operate the ship that Piccolo came to earth in a long time ago. But whose going to go to Namek? Goku's physical body was damaged so severely in the battle with Vegita, he is be unable to go. Krillin and Gohan (despite protests from Chi Chi) accompany Bulma.

After a few tight spots on the way to Namek, they arrive. In the meantime, Vegita has recovered at Freeza's base! He learns that Freeza is on Namek and already in search of the Dragonballs. Vegita becomes furious and rushes off to Namek to gather the balls for himself. This is the introduction of Freeza, the strongest known warrior in the universe (at this time).

Vegita, Nappa, and Raditz were working for freeza in the Vegita Saga (although Vegita had already been thinking about overthrowing him, hence his interest in the Dragonballs). Anyway back to the story... Freeza is gathering the Dragonballs on Namek, with the aid of his "right-hand man" Zarbon and "left-hand man" Dodoria. They go from village to village killing Nameks and demanding the Dragonballs. Meanwhile, Vegita touches down on Namek and is almost immediately intercepted by Kui, another one of Freeza's henchmen. Not realizing how strong Vegita has become (because as you know Saiyans get stronger after every battle), Kui gets wasted. Gohan and Krillin also have their first battle, facing off against two of Freeza's weaker henchmen. After Freeza's goonies trash their spaceship, Gohan and Krillin open up a can of whoop ass on the losers! Miles away, these battles are being monitored by the scouters of Zarbon and Dodoria.

Knowing that he is still not powerful enough to challenge Freeza, Vegita must get the Dragonballs. As he plans his next move, a village close to Gohan and Krillin's location falls under attack. The Nameks fight well, until Dodoria joins the fray. As Dodoria moves in to attack a young Namek boy, Gohan can't control his anger anymore and intervenes. Gohan and Krillin rescue the boy, but are followed by an angry Dodoria. By the way, this is the introduction of Dende, who will grow up and eventually take Kami's place to watch over the Earth. Back to the Story- Gohan, Krillin, and Dende narrowly escape, and on the way back to Freeza, Dodoria runs into Vegita. Knowing Vegita is stronger than him Dodoria bargains for his life. Dodoria tells Vegita that it was actually Freeza that destroyed Planet Vegita (the Saiyan's homeworld), and not a meteor shower. Vegita finds this interesting, but kills Dodoria anyway.

Zarbon is next to try, as he eventually tracks down Vegita, and reveals the ugly side of himself. Vegita is beaten to a pulp and taken to Freeza's base on Namek, to heal so he can answer for his treason. Unknown to Freeza and Zarbon, Vegita awakens while in his recovery chamber and manages to steal the Dragonball's that Freeza has gathered. Enraged, Freeza gives Zarbon a one-hour ultimatum to get Vegita and the Dragonballs. However, Freeza recognizes that this is already getting out of control and summons the Ginyu Force. The Ginyu Force is his most elite fighting squad... and they are coming...

While this is going on Krillin and Gohan befriend the young Namek boy, Dende. takes Krillin to go see the eldest Namek, Guru. They get to Guru's and find Nail watching over Guru. Nail is the strongest of the Namekian warriors. Guru reveals some history about Piccolo, and then uses his power to awaken the hidden potential in Krillin. Amazed, Krillin feels twice as strong, and tells the eldest Namek that he will not let the Dragonballs fall into the wrong hands. Satisfied with Krillin's good intentions, Guru gives him the One-Star Dragonball. Krillin leaves Dende at Guru's place, and returns to Bulma and Gohan with his Dragonball.

You're probably wondering what happened to Goku, our hero? And what of the Z-fighters who died on Earth. Well, Piccolo and the other Z-fighters end up making it down Snake Way and they start training with King Kai, just like Goku did. Goku in the meantime finally fully recovers, after he receives some Senzu beans (magical beans from Karin's Tower). To the protests of Chi Chi he leaves in a hurry to catch up with the others on Namek. Dr. Briefs (Bulma's dad and a real technical wiz) has already constructed a spaceship for Goku to travel to Namek. Goku blasts off for Namek hoping he has not missed any action.

During his six-day journey Goku knows he must be in peak physical condition, so he trains in an artificial gravity machine that can be adjusted to different intensities. He starts of 10x gravity and after he has grown accustomed to it increases the gravity to 20x that of Earth's. He has a close encounter with a star as its gravity was pulling Goku's ship towards it. Using Kaioken and a Kamehameha he escapes this fate. Later, disaster strikes, as Goku's ship gets caught in an interstellar storm, causing the gravity machine to go crazy. After it gets stuck at 100x normal gravity, Goku must summon up every last ounce of strength just to hit the "off" switch! He succeeds, but then gets determined to train in such a harsh environment. During his trip, Goku's grueling training wears him down and he uses Senzu beans to recover his strength. Talk about beefin' in just 6 days!

Back on Namek, Zarbon has one hour to resolve this mess, because Freeza's getting pissed! He spots Vegita, who is actually in pursuit of Krillin (returning from Guru's with a Dragonball). Krillin goes to were Bulma has been hiding and learns that Gohan has gone to track down another Dragonball. All of a sudden Vegita Arrives! He demands Krillin's Dragonball... but right behind him is Zarbon. And thus the second battle between these 2 begins. Vegita is stronger after recovering from their first bout, and succeeds in sending Zarbon to the next dimension (kills him). He then threatens to hurt Bulma if Krillin doesn't give him the Dragonball! Reluctantly, Krillin is forced to comply (not like he could have defended the Dragonball anyway!).

At this point, Vegita thinks he has all the Dragonballs. This one just taken from Krillin, the 5 stolen from Freeza's ship, and one that he took from a Namekian village earlier (which he hid in a lake). He is unaware that Gohan has used Bulma's Dragonball radar to track down the one hidden in the lake. However, on the way back to Bulma and Krillin, Gohan runs into Vegita. Gohan senses him coming and has time to hide himself and the Dragonball. Vegita can also sense something and demands for Gohan to show himself. Gohan comes out and talks to Vegita. Vegita sees that Gohan is holding the Dragonball radar, but doesn't know what it is. When he asks Gohan what it is, Gohan tells him that it is an antique watch. Growing tired Vegita cheapshots Gohan and takes off. Dazed, Gohan is merely happy that Vegita did not see his Dragonball... and he returns to Bulma and Krillin's location.

Upon returning to the lake, it becomes apparent to Vegita what has happened. He realizes that the Device Gohan had was not just an antique watch. He gets super pissed and blasts off to get his revenge! Meanwhile, Gohan returns with the Dragonball and Krillin decides to take Gohan to Guru's place, in order to awaken his hidden powers. Bulma is left with the Dragonball, which is probably a mistake. She loses it in a lake and has to recover it with a Capsule Corp. submarine. Anyway it's not that important.

Gohan and Krillin are almost to Guru's place, when they sense Vegita following. Krillin tells Gohan to hurry up and see Guru, while he attempts to stall Vegita. Vegita confronts Krillin and quickly realizes where Gohan is. He speeds off and Krillin flies after him. They arrive at Guru's and Nail comes out and tells Vegita to "go home." Just as Vegita demands to see what's going on inside, Gohan emerges. Vegita threatens Gohan, in order to learn the whereabouts of the other Dragonball. Before the situation climaxes anymore, Dende informs them that Guru senses a super powerful evil force approaching the planet. They all sense it, and Vegita realizes that it must be the Ginyu Force. They don't have much time...

Vegita tells our heroes that each member of the Ginyu Force is as strong as he is, and the only way that they will survive is to wish him immortal. Not liking the sound of this, Krillin and Gohan fear they might have no choice. They join Vegita and rush back to where Bulma has the other Dragonball. Then they proceed to where Vegita has stashed the 6 balls which he has gathered. After a short arguement on who should get to be immortal, they are immediately confronted by the Ginyu Force!

Vegita, Krillin, and Gohan know they are in trouble! A little about the Ginyu Force... There are 5 members: Captain Ginyu, Recoom, Guldo, Jeese, and Burter. They are Freeza's most elite squad, really never have lost a fight, and oh yeah..they are completely nut's. Captain Ginyu was chosen to lead the squad, by King Cold himself (Freeza's dad) because of his body change technique. It is the Captain that does most of the talking at first, and demands that Vegita give them the Dragonballs. At this point 5 are lying on the ground, Vegita is holding one, and Krillin the other. Vegtia tries to get rid off the Dragonball he is holding, by throwing it way out towards the horizon. However, they are all left in slow motion, as Burter catches up to it with his super speed. Vegita then screams at Krillin, ordering him to quickly destroy the other Dragonball. As Krillin raises his fist, the Dragonball suddenly disappears from his hand. The short 4-eyed Guldo has used his ability to control time to take it away from him. Krillin and Gohan can't believe what they are seeing, and get scarred. Vegita is not amused.

Captain Ginyu gathers up the Dragonballs, and takes off to deliver them to Freeza. Vegita, Krillin, and Gohan are left to take on the remaining members of the Ginyu Force. Guldo goes first, and prepares to take on Krillin and Gohan, who begin to power up. They fly up into the air simultaneously showing off their increased power. Guldo freezes time for a moment (by holding his breath) and runs for cover. The battle continues; Guldo is out of shape, and getting overwhelmed by Krillin and Gohan. Then he gets mad and summons up all his strength and uses his mind freeze technique on the heros. Krillin and Gohan are now stuck in mid-air, and can't move! Guldo now flies up to them and beats them up a little. He then uses a sort of telekinisis and grabs a tree, which he plans to spear Gohan and Krillin with. He forms it into a stake and sends it flying straights for Krillin! Suddenly, a beam slices through Guldo's neck and he falls to the ground. Vegita drops down next to him and laughs. Taking such a critical shot, Guldo looses his control of the mind freeze. Krillin is free and dodges the tree with who knows how many of hundreths of a second less. Vegita then blasts Guldo and finishes him.

Gohan and Krillin are grateful to Vegita. Vegita just tells them he had an old score to settle with Guldo, and that he was not trying to save them. On the otherside, Recoom, Burter, and Jeese are enraged about Guldo's death (not really that they care about him, but now their group pose will be different without him). Recoom now steps forward to take Vegita on. The huge orange-haired titan announces the start of the fight, and does a silly dance and pose. Growing tired of their insanity, Vegita begins to power-up! Energy swirls around him and everyone is shocked by how high his powerlevel has gotten. But is it any match for the Ginyu Force?

Vegita attacks Recoom and is winning and even uses his "Final Flash" technique. There is a huge explosion and it looks like the fight is over. However, as the smoke clears, the huge Ginyu is still standing. What is even more amazing, is that he has hardly been scratched by the devasting attack! Recoom decides it is his turn, and after another exchange of blows, Vegita finds himself buried in the ground. Exhausted and injured, the Saiyan Prince might be out of his 9 lives. Wait, Gohan and Krillin join the battle, and save Vegita!

As Recoom attacks Vegita with a flame attack eminating from his mouth Krillin kicks him in the back of the head (which shuts his mouth in the middle of the attack), Gohan pulls Vegita out of harms way. Vegita is ungrateful to Gohan and a now toothless Recoom announces that he has had enough. He quickly takes Krillin out in one kick. With Vegita and Krillin down and out, Gohan must bare the load. And a heavy one it is, as Recoom blows poor Gohan out of the water!

Meanwhile, Freeza has gathered all the Dragonballs and attempts to make his wish. It doesn't work! Freeza figures with must be some special words you say or something that he is not doing right. He picks up Nail, Dende, and Guru on his scouter and rushes off to find the secret. He leaves Captain GInyu to look after the Dragonballs while he is gone.

Captain Ginyu holds try-outs for the Ginyu Force while he watches over the Dragonballs. He ends up killing all the contestants.

While the Ginyu try-outs are not going good for Freeza's goons, the fight against Recoom is hopeless. Gohan eventually goes down and it looks like it's all over... but WAIT! Who's spaceship is that touching down a couple miles away? GOKU FINALLY ARRIVES on Namek! As usual he arrives right as the team is about to be annihilated. Goku uses Senzu beans to heal Gohan and Krillin. Gohan was almost dead, and the Ginyu are amazed at the fact they have suddenly been restored to health. Goku reads Krillin's mind, to find out what happened during his absence ("apparently training at 100x normal gravity has extra benefits"). Then he gives Vegita a Senzu bean as a reward for saving Krillin and Gohan from Guldo. Next he confronts Recoom!

He displays blinding speed, and takes Recoom out, with a simple elbow to the Sternum! Nobody can believe it... Jeese and Burter attack Goku now! Goku dodges their attacks with ease. Goku can hide his powerlevel from scouters, but Vegita senses his enormous ki. He can feel Goku's power, and it is nuts! He thinks that Goku has become a legendary Super Saiyan! Has Goku become a Super Saiyan? Find out as the summary continues....

So where was I? Oh yeah... Is Goku a Super Saiyan? Alright, I'll stop being silly. Anyways, Goku is just nuts and everyone is in awe of him. Burter tells Jeese to use his Crusher Ball technique, in order to give him an opening against Goku. Goku deflects the ball and the bad guys are just being outclassed by Goku. Goku proves himeself faster than Burter, and Jeese freaks out. He can't stand the thought of the Ginyu losing this easily. He runs to get Captain Ginyu. Upon telling Ginyu what has happened the Captain is stunned, and decides to not tell Freeza. He want to take care of the matter himself.

Meanwhile, Vegita takes the liberty and finishes Recoom and Burter off, who were already beaten. It bugs Goku a little, so Vegita tells him that this was the smart thing to do. Then the group talks about Freeza's power. They know that he hasn't summoned Shenlong yet cause night would have come. Goku points roughly in the direction of Freeza's location. Krillin realizes that that is approximately where Guru's place is! They figure that Freeza has gone there to find the secret to summoning Shenlong. As they worry about Guru's safety, Jeese returns with the Captain at his side!

Goku tells Krillin and Gohan to take the Dragon Radar and look for the Dragonballs. He tells Vegita to attack Jeese, while he squares off with Ginyu. They agree, but Vegita takes off at the last second and ditches Goku. Goku fights the Captain and Jeese for a bit. Then Jeese uses his Crusher Ball giving Ginyu an opening and he grabs Goku. Goku is about ready to turn on the heat when Ginyu lets him go. The Captain explains that he knows that Goku is not using his true power, and challenges Goku to power up. Goku obligizes and powers up to 180,000! This shocks Jeese and Ginyu, since not even the Captain's powerlevel is that high. Goku gives them another chance to leave the planet, but the Captain has something special in mind...

Freeza finally arrives at Guru's in the meantime. Guru releases Dende's sleeping power in order to help in the fight against Freeza.

Nail confronts Freeza, who demands to know the secret of the Dragonballs. Nail tells Freeza that if Guru dies, the Dragonballs will disappear. Guru tells Nail to fight Freeza in order to give the humans time to summon the Dragon. He also apologizes to his guardian and friend, for they both know that Nail will not survive. Nail and Freeza fly to a safe place and they power up. At 45,000, Nail is by far the strongest Namek, but compared to Freeza it's nothing. Freeza only uses one arm against Nail, and still manages to rip off the Namek's arm. Nail regrows his arm (a la Piccolo).

After Captain Ginyu critically injures himself on purpose, he shouts "CHANGE!" Now Ginyu is Goku and Goku is Ginyu. Goku yells in pain, while Jeese and Ginyu (now in Goku's body) leave back to the base. Krillin and Gohan in the meantime have found the Dragonballs there and Vegita is hiding nearby waiting for his opportunity. Krillin and Gohan feel the approach Ginyu and Jeese so they hide. The two remaining Ginyu members why the Dragonballs are out in the open, and then Krillin steps out. He asks his friend why he is acting strange, and why hes wearing a scouter. Then Gohan realizes that it is not his father. Ginyu battles Gohan and Krillin, but is unable to use his body to his full potential. In the meantime, Vegita steps out and makes short work of Jeese. Goku arrives in Ginyu's body. Vegita realizes his opportunity to hurt Goku and attacks Ginyu in Goku's body. Goku's body is getting trashed, and then Ginyu tries to switch bodies with Vegita. Goku is ready this time and jumps in front claiming his real body. Ginyu again tries to change bodies with Vegita, but is foiled by Goku, who throws a frog in the path. And that is the end of the Ginyu assault.

At this point Goku is in tough shape, and Krillin and Gohan are no match for Vegita. The Saiyan Prince could easily kill them all, but wisely chooses to keep them alive for the upcoming battle with Freeza. He takes them inside Freeza's base, and they put Goku in the medical unit to heal. Then he equips Gohan and Krillin with battle armor. One size fits all! Krillin decides to check up on Guru and Dende and tells Gohan to stay behind. Vegita decides it is time for him to catch up on zzz's for the upcoming battle. Krillin runs into Dende on the way to Guru's and Dende tells him that the Namekian Dragon can only be summoned in the Namekian language.

Elsewhere, Freeza has almost killed Nail, when Nail tells him that he is waisting his time, cause Dende is the only one that knows how to summon Shenlong. Freeza realizes he's been tricked, and hurries off, leaving Nail for dead. Gohan is wondering if Krillin is ok, and flies off to meet him. He meets up with Krillin and Dende, and the three of them look for a safe place to summon the Dragon. Guru then telepathically tells Dende that Nail has been defeated, and they must summon the Dragon NOW! Dende does this, the sky turns black, and the ENORMOUS figure off Shenlong hovers in the sky above them! But Freeza is coming in fast! King Kai has been monitoring the whole ordeal, and helps Piccolo establish a telepathic link with Gohan. Piccolo instructs Gohan to use the first of the 3 wishes to wish him back to life. This will also resurrect Kami, and hence bring back the Earth's Dragonballs. Piccolo says to use the second wish to bring him to the Planet Namek, so he can avenge his people. He tells Gohan to use the third wish for whatever.

Sensing Freeza's approaching power, Vegita awakens and sees the dark sky and Dragon, and realizes he's been tricked. Vegita is pissed, but calms down when Gohan tells him that there is one wish left. Vegita demands to be made immortal. Krillin, Gohan, and Dende argue about granting Vegita's wish. Finally they decide to do it, and as Dende starts to chant the special words, Guru passes away, causing Shenlong to disappear. Vegita is furious, and is about to kill them all, when Freeza arrives! Freeza is equally if not more angry than Vegita. He talks about the loss of his dream to become immortal, and the defeat of his special Ginyuu team. He's going to kill them all, but he wants to start with Vejita, so the others get out of the way. Freeza powers up, and shocks them with his frightening powerlevel. Vegita also powers up destroying Freeza's scouter. Gohan and Krillin are stunned at Vegita's power as well.

Meanwhile, Piccolo has arrived on Namek, and is one his way to the battle scene, when he feels a fading power. He finds Nail, and Nail asks Piccolo to merge with him. Piccolo his hesitant, but then agrees. Piccolo gets a huge power up, and flies off toward the fight laughing crazily. Freeza and Vegita go at it a bit, and then Vegita tells Freeza that he knows that Freeza is not fighting at his full potential. Freeza chuckles and tells Vegita that he is correct. He flexes, destroying his combat jacket, and he changes into his second form! Freeza's second form is much taller and more muscular, and his horns point straight up. Freeza is much stronger now, and immediately runs Krillin through, with one of his horns! The dead hero is flung aside, and Gohan rushes to his friends side. You can probably guess what happens now... Gohan gets really mad and shows Freeza that he ain't no ordinary little boy! Gohan can't keep up however, and Vegita can't bring himself to save the boy, so Gohan dies. While Freeza was busy battling Gohan, Dende used his special healing power to bring Krillin back from the brink. He uses his Destructo Disc and chops off Freeza's tail. Angry, Freeza comes after Krillin who blinds him with a Solar Flare, and then tells Vegita to attack the temporarily blinded Freeza. Vegita is to intent on watching Dende heal Gohan's broken neck. A restored Gohan is now stronger than before, proving his Saiyan heritage to Vegita. But now, a new AWESOME power arrives... it's Piccolo!

Piccolo announces that he wants to take on Freeza alone. Vegita, Krillin, and Gohan grant his wish, and they back off. Piccolo powers up and fights well, and after some fighting neither warrior has gained the upper hand.

Then Freeza starts to fight more seriously, and Piccolo removes his weighted clothing. Freeza then says that he still can transform twice more, each form being more powerful. After revealing this Freeza says what the hell and transforms into his third stage. This form is kind of a parody on the movie Alien. Freeza is hunched over, and his head gets longer similar to the aliens in the movie. In this state, Freeza is already to much for any of them, and he overwhelms Piccolo. Gohan jumps back into the battle to help his fallen mentor, and his emotions take control as he fires an enormous blast at Freeza. Even in his third form, Freeza has trouble deflecting it, and decides to transform into his fourth and final stage!

It's time for a quick break from the story. Remember, that no one has ever seen these transformations. Think about how strong Vegita and Nappa seemed back on Earth. Earth barely survived right? Well, as cocky as they were, Freeza's power in his first form is many many times as great as theirs. Up to this point in time, everyone is SO MUCH WEAKER than Freeza in the known universe... it's RIDICULOUS! Freeza rarely has to even call in his Ginyu Team, so how often do you think he has to transform! Correct, NEVER! Alright, back to the story...

After seeing the level of power that Gohan has achieved, Vegita thinks the boy might be close to becoming a Super Saiyan. Therefore, he is certain that he must very close himself to becoming one. He tells Krillin to attack him so that Dende can heal him. He's certain that one more recovery will enable him to be a Super Saiyan. As Freeza's power climbs higher, Krillin gives in and attacks Vegita. Dende refuses to heal Vegita, and heals Piccolo instead. Dende knows that Vegita was responsible for some of the Namekian deaths. Realizing that they don't stand a chance without the Saiyan, Piccolo talks Dende into healing Vegita. Freeza finishes his transformation, and immediately kills Dende, realizing that he was responsible for everyone's recoveries. Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin are unable to compete with Freeza, however after being healed Vegita feels he must be a Super Saiyan. He steps up to bat, and is blown away by Freeza's speed. In a last ditch effort Vegita powers up an energy blast to the limit, but Freeza kicks it into outerspace, and it destroys another planet. Vegita starts to whine as Freeza overpowers the Saiyan Prince. Freeza is about to deliver the death blow when Goku arrives on the scene!

Freeza recognizes Goku as resembling the Saiyan Bardock who led a rebellion against Freeza years ago. Vegita tells Freeza to watch out, because "Kakarot" is a Super Saiyan. Having had quite enough of Vegita and this Super Saiyan Legend, Freeza kills Vegita. THAT'S RIGHT.. VEGITA DIES! NOOOOO! Anyways, before he passes into "the Next Dimension," Vegita tells Kakarot to avenge the Saiyan race by defeating Freeza. Goku vows just that, and buries Vegita, and then turns to face the most powerful enemy he has ever fought! Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin leave the area for safer ground. As the fight begins, it appears that Freeza is stronger, but Goku has become so powerful, that Freeza really can't hurt Goku that much either. After a lot of fighting Freeza is sure he has the upperhand, and announces he will not use his hands to fight Goku!

Meanwhile, Bulma runs across the frog that is Ginyu and hooks up a small communicator device to it. Given a means of speaking again, Ginyu immediately performs the Body Change with Bulma! As the battle between Goku and Freeza rages on, Bulma arrives at the spot where Gohan, Piccolo, and Krillin are at, and they notice she is acting strange. Ginyu tries to make change bodies with Piccolo, but Gohan realizes at the last moment what has happened, and throws the frog (Bulma) in front of Piccolo just in time. Ginyu is once again a frog. But the news isn't all good, as Goku loses ground to Freeza. Knowing that he must find a way to win, Goku charges up an enormous 20x Kaioken attack, but it's not enough. Freeza escapes with singed palms. Still, he is humiliated that a Saiyan could do that much damage. He attacks an exhausted Goku, who decides it's time to play his last card.

Recoom, Burter, Jeese, and Guldo arrive on King Kai's planet and square off against Tien, Yamcha, and Chaozu. King Kai's training pays off, as they are somehow able to hold their ground against the late Ginyu members. In the meantime, Goku has begun to form a Genki Dama (Spirit Bomb) high in the sky. Freeza is not sure why Goku is not attacking him, but realizes what's going on when he sees the Spirit Bomb's reflection in the water. Freeza decides to kill Goku before he has a chance to use it, but Piccolo interferes. Piccolo kicks Freeza in the head knocking him off in the distance, and pissing him off. Freeza quickly beats up Piccolo, but gets further distracted by Gohan and Krillin. And just like that.. the Spirit Bomb is ready! Goku lets it drop on Freeza, who tries to deflect the GIGANTIC SPHERE of energy. He's unsuccessful, and quickly gets consumed by the shear power of it. There is an ENORMOUS EXPLOSION, and when the dust clears, Freeza is gone! Everyone celebrates and congratulates an exhausted Goku. On King Kai's planet the Z-Team has defeated the Ginyu Team. EVERYTHING is fine and dandy, right? WRONG!

Guess who's standing on top of a rock, with one eye shut, and REALLY PISSED! I KNOW IT'S NUTS, FREEZA LIVED! He immediately fires a deadly beam at Goku, who is tired and slow to react. Piccolo reacts and shoves Goku out of the way, taking a nearly fatal hit to the chest! Then Freeza uses telekinisis to lift Krillin into the air. Goku pleads for him to stop, but it's too late... poor Krillin screams, as his body explodes. Freeza chuckles as Goku stands there frozen with rage. As Goku's anger moves beyond anything that he can control, his hatrid for what Freeza has just done triggers the change. AT LAST GOKU BECOMES A LEGENDARY SUPER SAIYAN!

Freeza is unsure of what has happened, since he has never heard of Saiyans being able to transform into anything other than a Were-Monkey. Goku tells Gohan to take Piccolo to the Capsule ship that he came on, and get off the Planet. Gohan is unable to hide his disbelief on what's happened, but obeys his father. Gohan flies off with Piccolo hung over shoulders, and as Freeza takes aim at them Goku makes his move. He grabs Freeza's wrist and Freeza finds it almost impossible to escape. Goku simply outmatches Freeza, who begins to fear that Goku may really be a legendary Super Saiyan! Freeza begins to believe that Goku may be able to defeat him, so he sends a blast to the core of Namek critically injuring the planet. With the core all messed up, Namek only has approximately 5 minutes before the planet just collapses. Freeza rather die at his own hands than be killed by a Saiyan. Besides, Freeza knows that Saiyans cannot survive in outerspace and he can. He also tells Goku that he has not been using 100% of his abilities. HE'S ONLY AT 50% POWER!

Freeza begins to concentrate his ki in order to reach his full power, and King Kai telepathically tells Goku this is his chance to win. We all know Goku though.. he wants to beat the real deal! He tells King Kai that he will wait till Freeza powers up to his full ability, and then avenge Krillin. On Earth Mr. Popo and Kami stand ready to use the Dragonballs. King Kai comes up with a plan. He tells Popo to use his wish to bring everyone back to life killed by Freeza or his men. Assuming that Guru's life was shortened slightly by Freeza's presence, he should be brought back to life also. The Namekian balls will reappear if Guru is brought back. Then Dende can use the final wish to wish everyone but Freeza back to Earth. Sounds good right? Well, Goku ain't ready to leave yet. He wants to finish his battle with Freeza!

Speaking of our hero, Freeza reaches his 100% power and starts to overwhelm him. He buries Goku into the ground beyond the planet's crust and into molten lava! Gohan senses that his father is in trouble, and returns to the scene. Freeza easily overpowers him, and is about to finish Gohan when Goku returns and saves him. Gohan gets the hell out of there and Goku and Freeza continue their fight. King Kai's plan is played out, and everyone is wished to Earth except Goku and Freeza who continue to fight on a dying planet. The fight continues, and has some awesome moments, including the Freeza Deathball (or whatever you call it). After knocking Goku to the bottom of the sea, Freeza forms a GIGANTIC SPHERE of energy (I estimate it to be 500+ ft in diameter, but who knows) and hucks it at Goku. It evaporates a lot of water, leaving a big crater in the ocean's water with the sphere in it. Goku stands underneath it, pushing against it. Summoning all his strength, Goku punches it into outerspace, where it collides with another planet. BOOM! Don't worry, I can see their spacepods leaving the planet. :-)

Eventually Freeza begins to give ground and Goku powers down, satisfied that he has defeated Freeza's pride. As Goku flies away Freeza uses his version of the "destructo disc" to attack Goku. Angry, Goku resumes the battle. Freeza summons up another disc and attacks with 2 discs simultaneously. He gets carried away, and accidently slices himself in half! He's really screwed now. He begs Goku to help him, and Goku reluctantly gives him a little bit of his own power. Then Goku flies away to find a way off of the planet. As a beat up freeza watches the only person to ever defeat him fly away, he gets super pissed and attacks Goku one last time. Tired of Freeza's cheap shots, Goku overwhelms Freeza's attack and blasts Freeza... seemily killing him. Meanwhile, back on Earth... Everyone (Guru, all the Nameks, Gohan, Piccolo, Bulma) are all gathered sitting around hoping that Goku makes it. All of a sudden Vegita shows up! He laughs about Goku's chances. He says that if Freeza and Goku both die, he will automatically become the most powerful in the universe by default. This makes Gohan angry. Gohan and Vegita duke it out, and Vegita bests the boy. He moves in to finish Gohan, Piccolo materializes behind him and tells him to stop. At this point Vegita is not as "evil" as before, not to mention that Piccolo is a Super badass himself. Vegita flies off. Elsewhere, Goku can't get Freeza's ship to work (it's all busted up). And then the Planet Explodes!!! And apparently Goku with it!

They all rejoice in Freeza's death, but Goku has also disappeared. So they plan on using the Namekian Dragonballs on Earth to bring everyone back. They first bring Krillin's spirit to Earth, and then use the second wish to bring him back to life. Then they bring Yamcha back to life. They also try to bring Goku's spirit to Earth so that he can get wished back, and this is when they find out that he's still alive, because the wish won't work. After 3 wishes, they have to wait 120 days in order to use the Dragonballs again. Then they bring Tien and Chaozu back. For the final wish, Dende and all the Nameks are wished to another Planet to start over. Gohan is very sad to say goodbye to Dende.

Ok, so everything is back to normal, except for Goku still being missing. Eager to find out the secret of becoming a Super Saiyan, Vegita blasts off into space to look for Goku. It's during this time, that Garlic Jr. escapes the purgatory he was trapped in after Gohan knocked him into his own "Dead Zone" in the movie with the same name. Anyway, he returns with some powerful new henchmen to aid him. He take's over Kami's lookout, shrinks Kami and Mr. Popo to doll size, and then traps them in a glass bottle. Then he uses some mysterious black fog to turn everyone on Earth into a demon. Only Gohan, Krillin, and Krillin's new girlfriend (who's pretty hot) are not affect. They're like under water or something when the fog passes over them. Yamcha, Master Roshi, Bulma, and Chi Chi are all turned into possessed demons. When Gohan, Krillin, and Maron (Krillin's girl) return to Roshi's house, they find everyone to be possessed. Chi Chi even attacks Gohan, who is very frightened and confused. Then Garlic's henchmen appear and reveal that they are responsible for everything. Gohan attacks them, but is easily subdued.

All of a sudden, Piccolo shows up and intervenes. He must contend with all 4 of Garlic's men plus a demonic Yamcha and others. Garlic's henchmen hold him allowing Yamcha to bite Piccolo and turn him Demonic as well. Gohan, Krillin, and Maron have left in the meantime to drop Maron off at Karin's Tower, and then go to Kami's lookout. They find Garlic Jr. there and Piccolo immediately appears with Garlic's henchmen. He appears to be on Garlic's side now, and attacks Gohan. Gohan is unsure of what to do. He doesn't want to fight his mentor. Piccolo continues to pound him and is about to finish him when Garlic Jr. stops him. Piccolo hesitates and then grabs the magical containers (with Popo and Kami) from Garlic's robe. He was faking being a demon all along. He tricked Garlic in order to get close to him. Now Kami and Popo are restored to their natural state, and go to find the antidote to the black fog that turned everyone in the world demonic. Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin battle Garlic and company. After Piccolo bests Garlic, he transforms into his true hulking form. He gets blasted through the chest by Gohan, but restores himself. He seems to be invincible.

Unfortunately for Garlic Jr., he's also very stupid. When Kami succeeds in restoring everyone on the planet to normal, Garlic gets mad and opens up another "Dead Zone." Gohan destroys a nearby planet which was giving Garlic his strength. Too weak to escape the Dead Zone's Vacuum, he is sucked in it once more...

It has been a year since Planet Namek went up in smoke. Gohan has a tutor, who is a real jerk. He longs to see his father again, and wonders if he ever will. Something else is coming though.. Gohan can feel it. Some horribly powerful evil is coming towards our peaceful planet. Every warrior on Earth, including Vegita (who recently returned from space) can feel the approach of Freeza's Ki. They know that they will die. Not only does Freeza's Ki feel more powerful than before, but he is accompanied by the presence of an even greater Ki.. King Cold, his father. All the warriors meet near the area where King Cold's ship lands. Freeza,

Cold, and a bunch of Cold's henchmen exit the ship. Freeza immediately starts to lose his cool and gets a little dillusional. He tells his lackies to start killing everyone on the planet. As they fly off to do his bidding, they suddenly all fall back to the ground... in pieces! That's right, they have been cut up by something or someone... That someone reveals himself now. It's a teenager with purple hair, a Capsule Corp. Jacket, and a very calm deminor. The youth seems to know about Freeza's past, which surprises him. Angry and impatient, Freeza has the rest of his men attack the youth. They are all swiftly defeated. Now it's Freeza's turn, and the boy stuns everyone by going turning into a Super Saiyan. Freeza has flashbacks from his battle with Goku, and starts to freak out. He attacks the boy unsuccessfully. He even throws a huge sphere of energy at him, which the teen merely holds up with one arm. Freeza ignites the ball of energy the teen is holding and detonates it. Unbeknownst to Freeza and Cold, the teenager escaped the explosion, and is standing on a cliff behind them. He calls Freeza's name, and uses the "burning attack" to get his attention. Well, Freeza should have been paying closer attention, because when he looks up there is the boy coming down fast. Using his sword, the boy cuts Freeza in half. Then he slices Freeza up into bits.

Finally, he blasts those bits into atoms. There is literally nothing left of Freeza. The Z-fighters looking on from a distance can't believe their eyes, and neither can King Cold. The boy now turns his attention to Cold. Freeza's father explains that it must be the sword that allowed him to do that. The confident boy unsheathes his sword again, and tosses it to Cold. Cold attacks him with it, but as he swings the blade, the teen simply catches the sword in midswing, and then blasts a hole through Cold's chest. The boy then finishes King Cold off with one more blast, and then destroys the ship they came on. He then turns to the Z-warriors and tells them to follow him. Meanwhile, Vegita has just been clenching his fists the whole time. He can't believe there is another Super Saiyan.

They follow the teen for a few miles, and then he lands. He takes out a small capsule (like the Cap. Corp. kind) and chucks it at the ground.. a refrigerator appears! He offers everyone a soda, and tells them that Goku will be arriving shortly. Sure enough, soon Goku arrives and everyone rejoices in seeing him healthy. The boy approaches Goku and they go off and talk alone. He tests Goku and reveals that he too is a Super Saiyan, which surprises Goku (who is now way stronger than he was on Namek). He tells Goku that he is from another time when everyone on Earth died, because horribly powerful Androids killed them. In the alternate timeline Goku was powerless to help, because he himself died of heart disease. The teen reveals to Goku that his name is Trunks, and that he is the son of Vegita and Bulma... Goku flips out upon hearing this!! Trunks then gives Goku some medicine for his heart and after saying some good-byes disappears in his time machine... This marks the end of Freeza (for sure this time!!!) and the beginning of the Android/Cell Saga...

So you think Freeza was tough? Imagine an enemy that was genetically engineered to be the ultimate badass. A being who has all the abilities of Freeza, Goku, Vegita, and Piccolo put together. Who could oppose such a thing? Anyone? Stay Tuned and find out.. Android-Cell Saga coming soon!
